This was a very authentic feeling and experience. The food was very enjoyable and awesome tasting, as well as made excellent. I would recommend this place which does take out and has a few tables in house for enjoying. The prices are great for what you get and is worth checking out. I know I'll be there again many times to come. Thank you for an awesome time and food.

The best sushi we have ever had! The menu offers a creative twist on traditional sushi, showcasing unique flavour combinations that you won’t find anywhere else. Each roll felt carefully crafted with surprising touches that elevated every bite. It is obvious the Chef has great attention to detail. Excited to have a spot like this in Midland! We can’t wait to return.

I am beyond ecstatic that this place is now open in Midland. Cozy and great atmosphere. Great service and mind-blowing food! We had the spicy edamame, butterfish sashimi, spicy salmon roll and the ebi Oshi sushi. My husband said the ebi was the best thing he’s ever tasted! We will come back to try the salmon oshi and the strawberry bingsu! So happy to have a new favourite restaurant!

Nare Japanese Restaurant delivers an experience that truly stands out. The quality of the fish is exceptional — fresh, clean, and beautifully presented — reminding me of the top-notch sushi I once had at a renowned spot in Montreal. Every detail feels carefully considered, from the balance of flavors to the artistry in plating. Even with takeout, the care and precision are obvious — everything was neatly packaged, traveled well, and tasted just as fresh as if it had been served at the table. Midland is truly lucky to have such skilled sushi chefs right here in town. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese cuisine in the area, Nare is a gem. Easily one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had outside of the big city.

Every dish at Nare feels like it was crafted with both precision and pride. The fish is incredibly fresh—melt-in-your-mouth toro, delicately sweet scallops, and beautifully balanced which shows off the chef’s mastery of flavor and texture. The signature rolls are thoughtful rather than gimmicky, pairing bold ingredients without overwhelming the natural flavors of the fish. All was stand out and meticulously paced, creatively plated, and generously portioned. Thank you to wonderful staff for making date night wonderful

Delish! First time trying NaRe the new Japanese restaurant in downtown Midland. Very fresh, great quality. I love a good seaweed salad and theirs was one of the best I’ve had. It’s a small place and I’d recommend reserving.
